Many thanks. and gratitude, Monsigner, for leading so many of us to a deeper understanding of His Wisdom and thereby of ourselves in our struggles to become a better human being. Never an easy task; however we were not promised the life-long task is/will be easy. Thank you, Bob S as well. Ad multos annnos. Please pray for me, a struggling sinner Amen
Msgr., you are a gift to the Church and to God’s people. Through your faithful ministry, you have brought peace, hope, and inspiration to so many. We give thanks to God for your witness, your service, and the countless lives you have touched. May the Lord continue to bless you abundantly as you proclaim the Gospel and shepherd His people for many years to come.
I love to read your thoughts. So very articulate and scholarly on important, complex and relevant issues. Thank you for sharing your posts with us. It is wonderful to see you enjoying a well deserved glass of wine.
Your voice is needed now more than ever. The Holy Spirit is moving with your pen (or keyboard). Please keep going as best as you can. You are a blessing!
I had almost started to believe there was no longer a place for a liberal Catholic in the Church. However, holy men like you and Popes Francis and Leo have shown me that I can, in fact, remain true to myself as someone who follows the Beatitudes and the teachings of the Franciscans while taking an active role in the life of my parish. Your words sustain me, and remind me to remain steadfast as I continue my journey in the faith. Thank you for your compassion and humanism.
I so enjoy your posts. Profound, insightful and filled with logic, compassion and wisdom. “The Force (Holy Spirit) is strong in this one, Yoda.” Thank you, Monsignor! You are a gift.
Your words are powerfull. I don't always agree but those words make me think. I particularly still ponder your words on the sanctity of life - beginning to end. Thank you for your thoughts and words - and for not feeding us pablum.
Your essays are a joy to read, bringing both the wisdom and knowledge gained from your five decades as a priest. I am very grateful. Ad multos annos.
