I actually never looked at the data. We only have the data from the ACE study in the US and not elsewhere.
But walk through any graveyard and look at how many young girls died because of being raped of forced into marriage and motherhood too young and I do not for a second believe that this preventable source of horrific suffering is the Will of Holy God .
No this is the will of sick perverted men and sick perverted societies linked to obscene “ warrior cultists “ like Pete Hegseth.
Americans who voted for felon Donald Trump have a lot on their consciences . Denying that greenhouse gases are way above safe levels in our earth’s atmosphere so that obscenely corrupt Oil, Gas and Fracking champions along with warfare is leading to massive increases in hunger.
I love listening to Bishop Baron speak but now I want all kinds of American RCs to speak about the tragedy of losing USAID and also the suffering of the highly motivated staff who worked really hard there.
Also every Roman Catholic should be appalled by Curtis Yarvin , Peter Thiele Elon Musk and their pursuit of the dark enlightenment.

I read through your original essay and found this:
"The Catholic moral tradition has a name for the voluntary removal of life-sustaining aid from persons who are dependent upon it for survival, when the removal is neither proportionate nor necessary. It is not a name one uses lightly."
But I did not actually see you name the "hard word" directly. Unless I missed it.
For two reasons you should not be so coy. The first is that if you believe, as I think you do, that your argument is correct, stating it plainly more than once is not just important but necessary. And you do not need to protect us from hard core language. The second is practical. Those of us reading you are reading a number of other sources, and it is a bit time consuming to go back and search for original language that you are, for whatever reason, unwilling to repeat though you argue that it is fundamentally important.
Otherwise, thank you so very much for this excellent series of arguments, both in this post and the previous essay. I am not someone who believes in or supports the Catholic Church's position on family planning, contraception or abortion, but I will get in behind you in the complexity of the real world when you argue for life and morality as clearly as you do.
